How to hide photos in Google Photos

  • The contents in the locked folder are erased if you clear the app data and if you reset the phone as well.
  • You cannot share any photos stored in the locked folder.
  • Locked folder uses the same screen lock as your phone.
  • You cannot take screenshots of the locked folder.

Setting Closed Folder in Google Photos

Before you can move photos and videos to the locked folder, you must first set it up. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Open the app on your phone.
  • Click on the Library tab at the bottom.
  • Click on the Services option, then choose the locked folder.
  • Select the option to set up a closed folder.
  • You must unlock your device using your unlock pattern, PIN, or password.

Move photos and videos to locked folder

  • Open the app in your phone and then select all the photos and videos that you want to move to the locked folder.
  • Click on the three dots at the top left of the screen and then select the Move to Locked Folder option.
  • Confirm your choice by clicking on the Transfer option again.
